  • "Ralph's Cafe" Casa Grande. AZ
When Casa Grande’s first truckstop opened in 1952 on Hwy. 84, the old Tucson Highway, it included a 24-hour service café that specialized in golden brown fried chicken and a complete line of steaks. The cafe installed a sign in 1956.  It was neon with bright chaser lights along the side and bottom of the directional arrow. Sixty-five years ago this sign was considered state of the art!
